Tiny Tale Tellers
This summer, we launched Tiny Tale Tellers at HOPe! This member-led children's story time featured short stories, sing-alongs, crafts, and snacks. We invited families from Easton and surrounding areas to join us in our pavilion and experience the talents of our members.
Through this program, our members gained invaluable experience in public speaking and working with children. Each week, up to twelve children along with their parents attended. Many of our members are pursuing careers in education. This opportunity has significantly enhanced their skills and sets them up for greater success in applying.
Beyond providing a fun and educational experience for children, Tiny Tale Tellers also fostered interactions between children and the disability community. For many children, this may have been their first encounter with someone with a disability. The benefits of such interaction are immeasurable, as it can help children develop understanding, improve their communication skills, and cultivate empathy.
Through Tiny Tale Tellers, our members have developed a stronger sense of community and belonging.
